Textron Aviation and Cessna 182 Fly in for Successful Cape Cod Weekend Event

Textron Aviation had the honor of sponsoring and participating in the Queen of the Fleet event as part of the National Gay Pilots’ Association (NGPA) Cape Cod Classic Weekend in Provincetown, MA on Saturday, September 18.
Derek Moore, a regional sales director for Textron Aviation, and his partner, John, flew a demo Cessna 182 from Wichita to Provincetown for a static display at the airport. This makes Textron Aviation the first Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to bring a plane to the event! Throughout the event, aircraft owners from the NGPA exhibited their airplanes at the local airport.
NGPA is the largest LGBT aviation organization in the world. This non-profit focuses on promoting diversity and inclusion within the aviation industry, offering flight scholarships to aspiring LGBT aviators, and providing career mentorship and guidance for young professionals.
